Saunders is first Fenland Running Club member home in its annual Green Thumb Fen 10-mile race
On a lovely sunny October day Fenland Running Club held its annual Green Thumb Fenland 10 mile road race.
Weather conditions were pretty much perfect with cool temperatures and only a slight breeze to make the runners work harder as they headed west between Walpole St. Andrew and West Walton.
The majority of Fenland Running Club members were involved in working to make the event possible by catering, marshalling, etc.
As usual there was a splendid selection of homemade cakes at the finish!
Fifteen FRC members ran and, out of a field of 373 finishers, first home for Fenland was Lewis Saunders in 25th position.
