Chatteris Town Ladies seen off Willingham for a comfortable victory
Chatteris Town Ladies earned a solid 4-2 win away to Willingham on Sunday.
The hosts started well, and an early injury to a Chatteris centre half led to Willingham taking a deserved 1-0 lead.
However,The Lilies gained a foothold in the game and were comfortable for the remainder of the first half. Three beautiful strikes took them into a 3-1 lead.
Some fine saves from the Willingham goalkeeper stopped Chatteris pulling clear, but Emma Searle eventually struck to clinch her hat-trick and make it 4-1.
A late Willingham strike gave them a glimmer of hope, but the Lilies managed to see the game out comfortably.
Emma Frost scored the visitors' other goal.
Next up for the ladies is a tricky cup tie against Newmarket Ladies, who play two divisions above them.
