Wrights Properties will continue to sponsor junior section of Long Sutton Hockey Club

Wrights Properties has announced that they will continue their sponsorship and support for the junior section of Long Sutton Hockey Club, in what is the club’s centenary year.

The company has paid thanks to Josh Baker and the “amazing” coaching team for all the time and hard work they put in to making this section of the club such a success.

Steward Wright said: “Not only do they work tirelessly in teaching the rules and the skills of hockey but make it a welcoming, friendly, happy fun-filled environment for the youngsters to enjoy.

“Thanks must go to all the parents, carers, families and friends who support this section in many ways, including as a taxi service in not only ferrying the children to and from coaching, but also matches and tournaments.

“This co-operation has contributed greatly to the progress made in coaching sessions to successes in matches and tournaments.”

The club is now searching for new, enthusiastic youngsters to come along to training – as well as older children, parents who may want to become a coach or umpire.

Junior coaching sessions take place on the club’s artifical surface at the Peele Leisure Centre, Long Sutton on Saturday mornings from 9-10.30am. They cater for boys and girls aged 5-13, and the season will continue until the end of May.
