March captain hosts individual Stableford competition as part of her Captain’s Day





March Golf Club women’s captain Michal Simpson hosted an individual Stableford competition followed by a meal for present and past women members for her Captain’s’ Day.

The clubhouse was decorated in a South African theme, the country of Simpson's birth.

The competition was won by Dianne Parsonage, with 37 stableford points, with Nickie Barwell second with 33 points and Emma Athow third on countback also with 33 points.

Nearest the pin was won by Hayley Gooden and Margaret Butt, with Barbara Spilka winning nearest the line.

Parsonage, who has won the competition two years running, thanked the captain and the excellent greens team for such a great day.

Simpson also took the opportunity to welcome her vice-captain, Hayley Gooden, who will take over the captain's role next year.
