Poole wins latest Marshland St James match

Winner of the latest qualifier at Buttonhole Lake in Marshland St James was a delighted Steve Poole.

Steve drew peg 14 out of the bag and, with strong wind and rain all day, fished an awesome match on chopped worm and caster to occupy the fish and hold them in the margin.

Steve had a mixed bag of tench, roach, skimmers, F1s and perch, plus some quality carp to see the match out and book his place in September’s two-day big money final, with £1,500 going to the winner.

Tuesday night’s match winner was Mark Grange, who fished peg 19 for 66lbs.
