March AC runners compete at the Cambridge Half Marathon with Mark Godfrey and Kanina O'Neil leading the way




March AC runners competed in one of the biggest local races of the year, the Cambridge Half Marathon, on Sunday.

Mark Godfrey led the way for the running club with a strong performance finishing in 1hr23min05sec.

Kanina O'Neil, the leading lady, was second home for March AC in 1:27.56 followed by Tim Brammer, who also secured a sub one-and-a-half-hour performance.

Tony Brown was next to cross the line as his hard work in training after a recent injury paid off. Michelle Prior was next back for the ladies finishing in 1:39.18, followed by Fiona Graham and Joanne Edwards, who both had great runs in hot conditions.

Elsewhere, four runners competed in the Chester 10k with Andy Cole leading the way in 40.20 to secure third place in his age category.

Mike Boxall was next home for March in an impressive 42.54. Tricia Cole was first home for the women in 53:.4 followed by Rachel Boxall in a time of 1:01.06.
