Success for March Golf Club's scratch team




The March Golf Club scratch team have progressed through to the play offs in division two.

After six matches, the team won three and lost three, playing in the challenging foursomes format, as played in the Ryder cup. Scratch captain and club vice-captain Max Flintoft said: “We have a great scratch squad who have supported our successes.”

The team are also through to the quarter finals of the Cambridgeshire Area Golf Union (CAGU) scratch trophy, the Goddard Cup, with the next match being played at March Club, against Saffron Waldon – the date is to be agreed.

Max thanked Steve Durdant-Hollamby for his sponsorship of the scratch team, in aid of his late daughter’s charity The Maddie Rose Campaign. The mission of the Maddie Rose Campaign is to help young people reach their career potential, through preparing them for the world of work, supporting them to develop skills and then connect them with opportunities and employers.
