Sutton Bridge Golf Club professional completes 100-hole challenge for charity

Sutton Bridge Golf Club PGA professional Alex Oldham completed a 100-hole golfing marathon challenge to raise money for Prostate Cancer and the British Heart Foundation.

His charity efforts arrived after some close friends of his had undergone some struggles over the last few years.

Oldham thought there was no better way to acknowledge and support their recoveries with this golf endurance test.

A fantastic total of £1750 was raised from online donations and collections on the day from members of Sutton Bridge Golf Club, where the event took place.

After the event, Oldham said: “Whilst the score was not record-breaking charity was the winner and I treated every shot like I would in a tournament but on this testing layout, your only one poor shot from a high score, it is tough yet great, and a unique course.

"Thank you to everyone who supported me on the day, particularly my brilliant caddies, and the donations and of course Sutton Bridge Golf Club for their friendship and encouragement."
