March Athletics Club take part at St Neots Half Marathon
Six March Athletics Club runners took to the St. Neots Half Marathon.
The rain cleared just before the start and they all came away with great successes.
Participants certainly enjoyed the downhill finish, and Henrik Stoner was the first runner home for March in 1:38:22 - a new PB.
The sense of tension in the air was palpable as Fovargue and Darlow came together in their head-to-head for a third successive Sunday.
Darlow was out of the blocks like a greyhound, but ultimately Fovargue’s relentless and consistent pace saw him take the honours.
- Results: Henrik Stoner 1:38:22 PB, Mike Blackledge 1:45:16, Andrew Fovargue 2:02:07, Dawn Veal 2:04:29, Mark Darlow 2:14:59, Jim Reeves 2:15:18 PB
Elsewhere, Ryan Jarvis upped his game even further and ran two marathons last week.
In the Running Miles Ricky Races Marathon he was second to finish the event in three hours and 49 minutes.
He followed this amazing performance by running the Zig Zag Running ‘Easier Said Than Run’ marathon, where he finished second once again.
Jarvis finished in three hours and 56 minutes, a course PB by 34 minutes.
Oliver Goodwin and Michelle Prior combined forces once again at the ‘Easier Said Than Run’ half marathon.
They described the course as ‘muddy, boggy and puddle filled’. However, they still finished in one hour and 55 minutes - a course PB for the pair.
