March Athletics Club in action at Pennine Journey 50-miler and Berlin Half Marathon

Three March Athletic Club runners took on an ultra marathon this week.

The Pennine Journey 50 miler was the destination for Alan Brown, Dave Burgess and Tom Orr.

Brown - a regular ultra marathon star - finished in 15:50.12.

Burgess showed just how amazing his form can be with another superb distance

run as he crossed the finish line of the tough event in 15:54.32.

And Orr had a fabulous go at the ultra and managed to complete 35 miles, which was a brilliant effort especially considering the mountainous terrain.

Elsewhere, two March runners took on the challenge of the Berlin Half Marathon.

Gary Davis finished in 02:27.38, with Carole Davis crossing the line shortly after in 02:38.44.
