Wisbech tennis ‘Yellows’ Gary Fitzjohn, Andy Lister, Wendy Mitcham, Jan Wildman and Jane Page win Fed Cup tournament

The ‘yellow’ squad of Gary Fitzjohn, Andy Lister, Wendy Mitcham, Jan Wildman and Jane Page (pictured) won the Fed Cup tournament at Wisbech Tennis Club.

Players were in teams of five, each taking it in turns to play either timed seven-minute doubles games on the main courts, or singles on the mini courts, against the black, red and blue teams.

Everyone enjoyed the fast pace of the tournament, together with the sunshine, before finishing with a buffet.

This weekend saw the start of free coaching tas-ter sessions at the club, before the new coaching pro-gramme begins on June 11.

Wisbech welcome Bruno Maraschin to their coaching team alongside Gary Fitzjohn, and now offer coaching sessions on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
