Wisbech Tennis Club Hunts & Peterborough Mixed A team of Gary Fitzjohn, Wendy Cropp, Ryan Daly and Genia Giles win Division 3 title

A busy week for Wisbech Tennis Clubs with several teams in action.

The Wisbech Ladies' A team travelled to St Neots where the team of Jane Page, Sheila Hennessy, Jacqui West and Wendy Cropp (pictured) won 7-1.

A brilliant week for their Hunts and Peterborough Mixed A team of Gary Fitzjohn, Wendy Cropp, Ryan Daly and Genia Giles as they completed their league fixtures with a 6-2 win over Longthorpe C.

This means that Wisbech has won the Division 3 title and will be promoted to Division 2 next season.

Congratulations to the whole squad, which includes Jacqui West.

The Mixed A team of Gary Fitzjohn, Jacqui West, Genia Giles, Ryan Daly played in the North West Norfolk league and won their match v Terrington A 5-3.

The Men's A team in the Hunts and P'Boro league, lost their match against Buckden B.

The team was Brett Lambert, Julian Brooks, Roger Frusher, Shyam Seshadri.

Wisbech's Ladies A team in Hunts and P'Boro league, drew their match with Hemingfords A with some very close sets.

Team was Wendy Cropp, Jane Page, Jacqui West and Nicky Giddens.

Finally the Men’s A team of Gary Fitzjohn, Julian Brooks, Roger Frusher and Andy Lister had a home win against Castor and Ailsworth 5-3.

Junior Club Nights continue on Tuesdays at 4.30pm to 5.30pm and there is still time to book a place on their multi sport summer camps.
