Grafton Water the destination for Three Counties members

Three Counties Running Club duo Rachel Cooper and Steve Clarke took part in the Swim Run event hosted by Keen as Mustard events at Grafham Water.

The stunning venue offered a perfect blend of trail adventure and open water challenge.

This year’s event featured three exciting distances to choose from: the 5k Fenland Runner Intro Swimrun, 10k Monkey Sox Sprint Swimrun and the 21k Precision Hydration Half Swimrun.

The idea is that there are no transitions for kit change from swim to run, you just swim in the clothing you will run in.

Participants could expect undulating trails, beautiful woodland tracks, and crystal-clear reservoir swims with easy water entries and exits.

It was a beautiful, warm morning with the temperature around 20 degrees.

Cooper recorded a time of 1:21:37 and Clarke 1:22:21.
