Fenland members set personal best times at Cambridge half marathon

Three Counties Running Club members travelled to Cambridge for the TTP half marathon.

The race started at Midsummer Common, Cambridge, passing through multiple universities of Cambridge College before cheating out into the picturesque villages of Grantham and Trumpington.

Some members used this as a race, some used it as a training run for an upcoming marathon and some just to try to challenge themselves.

Everyone enjoyed fantastic races even on a warm day that the runners hadn’t been used to for a while so it was a shock to the system.

Lauren Day was the first club member home with a new PB 1:44:58 and was followed by Sarah Johnson 1:49:52, Gary Ingrey 1:57:06, Jonathan Quail 1:59:29, Anna Holland 2:15:03 (PB) and Melvin Green 2:27:07.

Kim Coultard travelled to Holt to take part in the Stody Estate trail run.

This gives the runner exclusive access to the normally private Stody Estate, where this race offers a chance to leave the roads behind and explore some of the most stunning trails North Norfolk has to offer.

There are three distances to choose from, one loop (4k), two loops (8k) and three loops (12k#0 with each of them showcasing the beauty of the estate and surrounding countryside.

The event is to raise money for Break (Break works across East Anglia).

Coultard finished in a great time of 1:27:24.
