King’s Lynn race attracts a large contingent of Three Counties members

Three Counties Running Club members were well represented at the annual GEAR 10k event at King's Lynn.

The wonderfully scenic route took in the pretty town centre, the River Ouse pathway and The Walks.

It was a chilly start as the runners lined up ready to race, but when the sun came out, it was very warm.

The weekend consisted of 18 different event options to race or participate in, welcoming thousands of athletes across the weekend.

It consisted of Friday Aquathlon, Saturday different distances for running and swim races and Sunday was for the triathletes.

Both ladies took part in the swim event and also the 5k run.

Phillips finished the run in 38:50 and Macdonald clocked 38:51.

Massive well done and especially for Phillips for taking part in her first two races and picking up well-deserved medals.
