Three Counties members participate in 15-mile race hosted by Ryston Runners at Beachamwell

Three Counties Running Club members took part in the annual Ryston 'Mad Hare' 15-miler event.

The event is hosted by Ryston Runners and is a friendly, fun event, starting and finishing at Beachamwell.

As this isn’t an official race it is free for Ryston members but for a small donation towards the Beachamwell Village Hall Fund non club members are welcome.

The race is a great event for anyone training and in preparation for their summer marathons. The weather was great conditions, sunny but cold and a few little slippery places.

Three club members took part in preparation for their marathons.

First home for the club was Sarah Johnson at 2:16:03 and Tracy Adams and Debbie Agger crossing together at 2:31:00.

Tracy Adams swapped her two-legged running buddy for her four-legged one when she took to the High Lodge Canicross Winter Series with her dog Finn.

The Raw Trails team presents this fantastic event for runners and their dogs. The 5k event is run over hard-packed trails and grass on this mixed terrain event through the beautiful Thetford Forest.

There are three events in the series and you can run as many as you wish as long as you have a furry friend. It was a very cold morning but the forest gave quite a bit of protection.

Tracy and Finn managed to finish 44th/84 and also managed a PB of 26:31.

Finn decided to carry a massive stick for over a mile so Tracy is hopeful that they can improve even more on this time at the next event.
