Wisbech Tennis Club ladies won the Hunts and Peterborough Division 3 title after beating Chatteris
Wisbech Tennis Club Ladies' 'A' team finished top of their league after storming to a brilliant 8-0 win over Chatteris.
Wendy Cropp and Nicky Giddens set Wisbech on their way to winning the Hunts and Peterborough Division 3 title with a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
They followed that up with another resounding 6-2, 6-1 triumph.
Sheila Hennessy and Laura Overland won both of their matches with 6-2, 6-1 scorelines.
The results mean the team ended the season unbeaten with three wins and two draws.
The ladies' 'B' team were also in North West Norfolk League action.
They hosted Dersingham 'B' and won 5-3.
Anne Piccaver and Janet Bouch won their first sets 6-3, 6-4, and recovered from a 2-6 reverse to record a 6-1 win in their second match.
Debbie Payne-English and Nicky Giddens eased to 6-1, 6-4 wins in their opening sets, but were beaten 4-6, 6-7 in a tough battle with the strongest Dersingham pair.
An exciting end to the season is on the cards, with both the A and B teams due to play against Terrington on August 5 and August 11.
