North Cambs Bowling Federation recently held their outdoor finals at Gorefield Bowls Club.

County winners were presented with their trophies by club presidents Matt Hewitt and Sue Tolliday.

Jon Ivatt of Gedney Hill won the men's 4-wood single event with a score of 21.

The ladies' event was taken home by Jane Clifton, who scored 23 points.

Margaret Hunt of Gorefield comfortably finished ahead of the field to emerge triumphant in the ladies' Senior Singles competition.

The men's 2-wood triples event seen a Gedney Hill takeover; Andrew Overton, Tony Reed and Nigel Eagle were worthy winners with 26 points, while three more club members took second spot.

Chris Gollands of Marchland was best in the ladies' Champion of Champions event, with 21 points enough to seal victory over a Black Cats competitor.

In the mixed pairs events, Sue Tolliday of the Black Cats and Nigel Eagle of Gedney Hill were a class above as they bested the competition with 28 points - 19 points clear of second place.

St Lawrence won the County Cup 93-90 against Gedney Hill.

The winners of these games will head to Skegness on August 21 to play in the National Federation finals - the ultimate test of their bowling skills.

Participants have thanked Gorefield Bowling Club for hosting the finals and providing refreshments throughout the busy weekend.
