Tough test for Parson Drove as they return to action at leaders Heacham

Parson Drove are in action for the first time in 18 days when they travel to play Thurlow Nunn League First Division North leaders Heacham on Saturday.

Drove are second from bottom going into the game and on a run of three consecutive defeats, but can take comfort from the fact their only two wins this season have come on the road.

Manager Arran Duke said: "Obviously after a two week break, playing Heacham will be a tough game to return to. We've worked hard over the two weeks but we know we still have plenty more to do to turn our current fortunes round.

Drove have re-signed defender Ben Calvert from Holbeach United, and Duke added: "This gives us another defensive option. We are building a group that should be getting results really soon but getting them all on the pitch at the same time hasn't happened yet, with injuries and holidays.

"We will keep working to improve. I know quite a few of the Heacham boys and there's no surprise they are top of the league. They are a great bunch of experienced lads but we have to go there and believe we can get something from the game and we will do all we can to do so."
