March Marlins swimmers Mason Riley, Harry Rickard and Jude Staton set personal bests at the Cambridge Grand Prix 2024
Three March Marlins swimmers had the honour of competing at the Cambridge Grand Prix 2024 at Parkside Pool in Cambridge on Saturday.
This is a Level 2 competition with swimmers having to qualify to book their place.
Mason Riley gained a personal best in the 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle, Harry Rickard posted a new best in the 50m backstroke and Jude Staton recorded new personal bests on both the 50m freestyle and 200m backstroke.
Meanwhile, March Marlins hosted their annual Autumn Challenge event at Manor Leisure in Whittlesey on Sunday with clubs from Ely, Huntingdon, St Ives and Market Harborough competing.
Marlins swimmers achieved 58 personal bests with many swimmers picking up medals and county championship qualifying times.
Dylan Haylock, Niamh O’Donoghue, Jacob Ure, Isla Staton, Harry Rickard and Connor Rickard were awarded for the top male or female in their age group.
There was a great team spirit, swimmers cheering loudly for others and many parents, grandparents and siblings volunteered to run this event.
