Tydd St Giles golfers contest prostate cancer golf day
The seniors' section at Tydd St Giles Golf Club held a prostate cancer golf day.
More than 50 seniors participated in a stableford competition, which was kindly sponsored by Kenray Matterhorn and the Quay Centre all of which support Prostate Cancer UK.
Main organiser Toby North also provided a bumper raffle which included a new golf bag worth more than £100, and a used golf equipment sale which generated an additional £250.
Thanks go to Tony and his staff at the club for supporting the event and to Trevor and Delia Sewell for refreshments at the halfway hut which raised £160.
Also, special thanks to the greenkeepers for presenting the course in great shape and Roy Pesterfield and the committee for their continued support of the event.
Competition results: 1 Garry Allen 43 points, 2 Ken Walker 40pts, 3 Joe Connolly 39pts.
Nearest the pin 4th: Dave Worrall, 8th: Ken Doughty, 11th: Graham Ralph, 16th: Michael Flint.
All of the above will receive a prostate Cancer prize, with the main trophy to be presented at the club presentation day.
