Wins for March Town, Parson Drove and Wisbech Town
All three of Fenland's senior football teams were victorious this afternoon.
March Town and Wisbech Town both made progress in the United Counties League Knockout Cup and Parson Drove had an impressive league victory.
The Hares are through to the last 16 of the league cup after a 3-1 win at home against Bugbrooke St Michaels (report here).
Ash Taylor's men (read his thoughts here) trailed to a 42nd minute Eddie Panter goal, but equalised through Jack Friend's seventh goal of the season in the 55th minute. The striker then netted again in the 74th minute before sub Danny Emmington wrapped up the win with a superb free kick three minutes from time. Read manager Ash Taylor's thoughts here.
Wisbech are also through after a 1-0 win at Clifton All Whites. Mo Janneh's ninth goal of the season in the 29th minute separated the teams (report and reaction here).
Parson Drove pulled off a wonderful 3-0 away win at Thurlow Nunn First Division North leaders Heacham.
Striker Kyial West opened Drove's account on 11 minutes, and Scott Waumsley lobbed the keeper to make it 2-0 after 32 minutes.
Alex Clunan was then sent off for the hosts just before the break, and West grabbed his second in the 70th minute. Read manager Arran Duke's reaction here.
