U8 team faced Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, St Neots and Colchester

At the Bury St Edmunds Festival on Sunday Wisbech fielded a strong Under-8 team with rolling subs and played four games over the day against Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, St Neots, and Colchester.

After last week’s strong performance Wisbech took off running this week with impressive opening tries and outstanding tagging in a great display of team work, which forced a number of turn overs across all games.

U10 – Wisbech were up against Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Colchester and St Neots. All of these teams were extremely strong with large squads. In testing conditions and with three players missing each game was tough.

U11 – Wisbech (pictured) faced teams they have not played before. Wisbech could not convert all of their effort into tries with their first game ending 2-1 to Ipswich.

Then with a quick turnaround all players did themselves proud in a game finishing 4-1 to Bury.

Wisbech beat St Neots 3-2 before they faced Colchester who were a very well-oiled side.

Thank you to all of the parents for making the journey in such poor weather.
