Wisbech Swimming Club host Boston, March and St Ives for third round of Junior Fenland League




Wisbech Swimming Club hosted Boston, March and St Ives for the third round of the Junior Fenland League.

After the first 10 races St Ives were leading, making the Wisbech swimmers even more determined.

St Ives were still in front after 20, but Wisbech had closed the gap. After 40, Wisbech were ahead by just a single point. There was everything to gain in the relay at the end, the winner of which would win the round.

After an incredibly really close race, Wisbech won the relay on the touch and therefore won the evening.

Wisbech remain at the top of the league table, with one more round in July before the finals in September. Round 4 will be in Thetford.

There were 27 PB times on the evening, coming from: Holly Smith (3), George Warby (3), Madison Hicks (3), Isabella Burton (3), Esmai Smith (2), Max Kolodziejczyk (2), Harry Wilkshire (2), Ebony Smith (2), Ashton Busby, Grace Rayner, Esa Condon, Harrison Otter, Jake Trundle, Alicja-Mae Gowler

and Madeline Rose.

Twenty first places were achieved by Jensen Stevens (2), Madison Hicks (2), Esmai Smith (2), Milana Melinyte (2), Isabella Burton (2), Grace Rayner, Esa Condon, Luke Wilson, Max Kolodziejczyk, Madison Hicks, Harry Wilkshire, Holly Smith, Ebony Smith, Alicja-Mae Gowler and the Squadron Relay Team.
