Wisbech Men’s 4ths 0 St Neots 6

The Wisbech Men’s 4ths were feeling confident and ready for this match following their first win of the season in their previous game.

Wisbech had their best half to date, playing out of their skins to put the pressure on St Neots.

Brandon Ruff had many shots saved by the keeper and often found himself in space.

Despite the positive hockey being played, St Neots scored a scruffy goal late in the half.

This didn’t deter the Wisbech lads and they kept fighting to win.

The second half wasn’t as great as the team lost their shape and concentration.

They ended up conceding five goals despite playing well.

The score doesn’t reflect the performance and the lads can be really proud of themselves.

Wisbech say thank you to all umpires and supporters.

n Wisbech Town Cricket and Hockey Club AGM is on Monday, February 25, at 8pm at the clubhouse.
