Wisbech Rugby Club secures three year sponsorship deal
Wisbech Rugby Club has secured a new three year sponsorship deal with Upp Broadband.
The partnership stems from Upp’s desire to support grassroots organisations and encourage young people to join local teams.
Chairman Leonard Veenendaal said: "We explained our club’s needs, in particular regarding our mini section, and they were very accommodating in putting together a sponsorship package.
“This will include new match day shirts and some funding for rugby development which will have a positive impact on grassroots rugby in the area"
Edward Money, director of brand and communications at Upp, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Wisbech Rugby Club and supporting their mini section for the next three seasons. As we expand Upp’s network across the region, it will be a great chance to get involved with the local communities and provide more than just high-speed broadband.”
Marcus Hall, chair of Age Grade Rugby, said: "The club is excited and grateful that Upp will be supporting Wisbech Rugby Club’s youngest players as their new main sponsor. Renewing the match shirts for these squads has been in our plans for a couple of years, and I know the teams will wear the new kit with pride."
