Wisbech’s Daz Kitson bids for first F1 Stock Car World Final spot at King’s Lynn Adrian Flux Arena
A big night of Stock Car and Banger racing takes place at King’s Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena this Saturday, August 30 (5.30pm) when a mouth watering night for BriSCA Stock Car fans takes place featuring the BriSCA F1 and BriSCA F2 Stock Cars.
With the F1 Stock Car World Final taking place at King’s Lynn on September 14, a massive turnout of F1 Stock Cars is expected.
Well over 60 cars are booked in for action including visitors from mainland Europe and even New Zealand coming over to sample the action before the World Final a few weeks later.
There is also plenty of silverware for the F1 Stock Cars to chase on 31 August and amongst those hoping to qualify for his very first F1 Stock Car World Final will be Wisbech’s Daz Kitson in the Consolation Semi Final which takes place.
Two Semi-Finals have already taken place for the UK drivers to qualify for the World Final which took place earlier in the month at Sheffield and Buxton.
All of those who failed to qualify for the World Final through the Semis get one more opportunity with the Consolation Semi where two places at the very back of the World Final grid are up for grabs!
Kitson was unlucky in his Sheffield Semi-Final when he had started well from the back of the grid and progressed up to 14th place when he suffered damage and had to retire on the seventh lap.
With the Consolation Semi being in graded order, Kitson will start from grid position six and given his form and experience around King’s Lynn the former F2 Stock Car world champion will be confident that he has a great chance of making it into the top two and qualifying for his very first F1 Stock Car World Final.
As well as the Consolation Semi Final the F1 Stock Cars have further important races to contest including the Trust Fund race which is open to all drivers who have been graded star any time on 2019 together with several other important memorial races in the sport – the Steve Frogatt Trophy, the Allan Barker Trophy and the Richie Ahern Trophy.
The F2 Stock Cars will be making their third and final King’s Lynn appearance of the season with the local entry including Dave Polley, Henry King, Ollie Skeels, Bradley Blyth and Jess Ward.
