Her mum Julie said: "Playing for England has been Ruby’s dream after attending National training every month with the National coaching director Carlos Amaral for many years and his team of coaches.

"Ruby loves the challenge of playing roller hockey against other countries and is proud to represent her country.

"She is the only one from Skaters to have played for England and her dream is to play abroad as a career in the future."

The Fenland youngster has also been playing on loan at King's Lynn Rink Hockey Club until the end of the current campaign.

The Year 10 Marshland High School pupil spends her time coaching and refereeing as well as playing.

Her family have set up a Go fund me page to help fund the trip.
