Banger racing returns to Adrian Flux Arena at King’s Lynn

Following a three-week gap Stock Car and Banger racing returns to the Adrian Flux Arena at King’s Lynn this Saturday (5pm).

It’s something to look forward to, with a first for King’s Lynn – an All Volvo Unlimited Banger night, plus the all-action 2L Stock Cars and Junior Bangers.

The bangers are promising a great night of action with the first all Volvo meeting. As far as Unlimited Bangers go the Volvo is a relatively cheap and easy to build car – and it is also one which drivers are more than happy to entertain in and these cars also make fantastic wreck “auto sculptures”.

Local drivers in action in the All Volvo Bangers include brothers Nicky and Nathan Young. Nicky – or Spud as he is better known – is one of the most entertaining performers in the sport and his fans will be looking forward to seeing how he performs in these cars where entertainment is the byword. Nicky’s brother Nathan has been an irregular performer in the sport for the past couple of years as other priorities of life have seen racing take a back seat. He is looking forward to getting back into action.

Talking of entertaining performer – in recent years, when you see one of the Licquorices on the booking list, you know it is guaranteed! Fans will be delighted that James Licquorice is booked in for action and you know he will not be out to win a race but will be keen to take home an entertainer award. Other local drivers in action include Dan Fisher and Will Thorpe.

The 2L Stock Cars have both Jacob Downey and Max Stott in action and both have been in good form recently. Stott came home second in the UK Championship at Skegness a couple of weeks ago, whilst Jacob Downey won a heat and was second in the final at Stoke last weekend.

Completing the action are the Junior Bangers which will see Lennie Murkin and Louie Cottrill in action.
