March AC athletes take part in the Peterborough Grand Prix 5k Series in Werrington
March AC runners completed the third event in the Peterborough Grand Prix 5k Series in Werrington on Wednesday.
The club put in another strong performance in both races, with the juniors starting things off strongly on the night.
Liberty Sibthorp was first home for the club and also won her age category.
Max Revell was the first boy home for the team with a strong performance in the short-distance race, with Austin Sibthorp following closely after.
In the seniors' race, Steve Beasley led the way for the team with another strong performance and finished the race in just under 18 minutes, with Mark Godfrey hot on his tail and claiming second place for the side. Andy Cole was next over the line and won his age category in 18min40sec.
Kanina O'Neil led the way for the ladies on a warm evening, securing a time of 19.05 with Michelle Prior next across the line for the March women.
Kai Stoner had a strong run, achieving a new personal best and breaking the sub-20 minute mark to win his age category.
At the weekend, the club hosted its annual Whitemoor 5 Miler, organised entirely by hard-working March AC volunteers.
The event also saw powerful performances from the club, with Glen Watts leading the way, finishing in 28.18.
O'Neil was first lady for the club with yet another strong run, completing the multi-terrain course in a time of 35.01.
The club had a successful outing with Steve Beasley, Mark Godfrey and Tim Brammer all winning their age categories as they managed to continue their fine run of form through the summer.
Five women managed to win their age categories as well, with fantastic runs coming from Dawn Goodley, Victoria May, Helen Bradley, Tricia Cole and Jill Vaughan.
