Wisbech Rugby Club looking for new youth players

Wisbech Rugby Club’s youth sides are on the hunt for up-and-coming players.

In recent weeks, the squads have played fixtures against Peterborough Lions RFC, Bourne RFC and Boston RFC. New players have been welcomed into both teams and have already made promising contributions.

The more experienced players have been praised for the encouragement and support given to their new team-mates.

There is growing confidence in their tackling and the youngsters are starting to make good decisions when the play develops to rucks and mauls. A consistent feature of the play of both squads is the determination shown when defending. The quality of their attacking play shows that the young players are applying learning from training: pass and run into space, run straight and support the ball carrier.
