Fenland is calling all artists and creatives
Local artist Dan Donovan is working with Creative Fenland to bring together creatives and artists of all disciplines with the aim of starting a network that they can all benefit from.
The initiative, named the Creative Fenland Community Hub, has been launched thanks to funding from Cambridgeshire Community Foundation.
It hopes to engage, support, and provide training to local creatives and existing art groups who want to develop creative activities in their communities.
They are now looking for voluntary Creative Fenland agents who have a passion for the arts and are interested in creating a greater community network.
Could this be you?
Creative Fenland was launched in 2022 by Cambridge Community Arts who have been running creative arts activities in Fenland since 2018.
The group uses the transformational power of quality creative arts to connect with people and communities, improving health and wellbeing.
The project is funded by the Arts Council England.
Dan Donovan, lead Creative Fenland agent, said: "I love the Fens and working on various art projects here, I have been excited to discover untapped potential for creativity in the area.
Connecting people and encouraging art for all is my passion."
In a few weeks there will be an initial event for all potential creative agents to come together, share their experiences and discuss how Creative Fenland can best support artists in the area.
