March Christmas Market set to take place December 3 with free park-and-ride shuttle bus to be provided
A town’s Christmas market is set to take place early next month with a free park-and-ride service to be provided.
March Christmas market will have a host of attractions including more than 150 stalls, a craft market, free rides on the market place and a winter wonderland in the town hall.
The popular event, which is happening on Sunday, December 3 from 10am until 3pm, will disrupt some town roads at Broad Street, Gray’s Lane, Market Place, City Road, The Brewin Chase and the High Street Junction with Burrowmoor Road. Additionally, the City Road car and lorry park will be closed and there will be a half-closure at Bevills Place.
Mayor of March Cllr Kim French will be opening the event on the main stage near the town library, where there will be live entertainment performed throughout the day.
Those attending can expect speciality foods, mulled wine, gifts, a craft fair and a visit from Santa himself.
Twenty20 Productions will also be providing free family craft activities throughout the event in March Library such as rock painting and fabric tree decoration making.
For the first time, the market will have a free park-and-ride shuttle bus taking people from Fenland Hall car park to the back of Boots on Broad Street from 9.30am until 3.30pm.
