Fundraising for little furry animals to be sheltered
A rescue centre for small animals is putting on a fundraising event.
Kerry's Kritters Small Animal Shelter and Rescue, based in Upwell on Croft Road, is putting on various events to help build a new, fully equipped rescue centre.
They rescue, rehabilitate and rehome all small animals in Cambridgeshire.
At the moment the animals are mostly in the rooms in the house which are not equipped enough and making it very limited to how many animals can be taken in and helped.
Now, the annexe is to be converted into a new fully equipped rescue centre with a reception/drop off and quarantine area, staff and supply rooms plus a 70 metres squared area outside for ferrets.
The fundraising event to help improve the facilities for the animals will be taking place at Upwell Village Hall, on Sunday, March 26, from 2pm-4pm.
There will be raffle prizes, bric-a-brac, refreshments, cakes and sweets, name the teddy, and also ferret racing.
