Kick start summer with a fun festival in March




A popular summer festival is set to return once again in what will be its 24th year running.

Organisers of the March Summer Festival want to see record breaking numbers this year and keep this event going so it can get bigger and better yearly.

The festival will be taking place at West End Park over three days starting from this Friday, running until Sunday.

On the Friday it will run from 6.30pm until 9.45pm. There will be Rock in the Park organised by Tom Harlock and hosted by Gary Tustin.

Taking place on Saturday, starting at 1.15pm till 9.35pm, will be the March Lions craft fair provided by numerous local organisations, kids zone (all weekend) provided by Kirby Castles, a main stage with live music throughout the day hosted by Gary Tustin and John Whitehead, a variety of food stalls catering for all.

There will also be a classic car show, dance tent and fair ground rides.

On Sunday from 12.45pm until 8.30pm will be a picnic in the park, which is aimed for the children of all ages.

There will also be a dog show, circus skills workshop, face painting, live music on the main stage with John Whitehead and a new junior disco hosted by Timewarp Disco (opposite end of park) on the Sunday to, with lots more also planned.
