MADAOS gets into the full spirit of Calendar Girls at Centre in March
In the spirit of the original Calendar Girls, the ladies of MADAOS (March And District Amateur Operatic Society) bared all on a pretty chilly March day, to produce a calendar to raise funds for Blood Cancer UK.
The ladies are pictured in various poses, reflecting the story of ‘Calendar Girls the Musical’.
MADAOS will perform the show at March Community Centre, Station Road, on the evenings of Wednesday to Saturday, this week, with a matinee on the Saturday.
The show, with music by Gary Barlow, tells of how a group of WI members embark on a controversial scheme to raise money for a settee in the family room at Skipton General Hospital, in memory of one of their husbands, and end up doing much more.
Tickets are available to purchase online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/madaos and cost £14 each.
The 2024 Calendars will be on sale at the performances and afterwards.
There will also be the opportunity to donate to Blood Cancer UK whilst attending the show.
