Service, afternoon tea, and 40s music are some of the events in Chatteris to mark VE Day’s 80th anniversary

Among all the celebrations next week to mark a historic day, there will be 40s music and an afternoon tea.

Thursday, May 8 marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War in Europe and Chatteris Royal British Legion will be commemorating this event.

A short service will be held at the War Memorial at 2pm, followed by an afternoon tea in Bricstan Hall at 2.30pm.
