Wisbech St Mary annual fireworks spectacular

By Keith Drayton

Wisbech St Mary C of E Academy PTFA’s annual fireworks spectacular takes place this year on Saturday, November 2.

The popular event has been called the best fireworks display in the area!

Last year was the 40th year and the displays were spectacular. This year the organisers plan another extra special night with a bonfire, music, fun, food and, of course, fireworks.

There will be many stalls, including a raffle, tombolas, refreshments, neons and food stalls including burgers, desserts, pizzas, hog roast and jacket potatoes.

There will also be a disco, seating area, children’s ride and an amazing steam engine.

Tickets are just £5 for adults and £4 for children.

The event is organised and run by a team of Parents, Teachers and Friends of Wisbech St Mary CE Academy, with the money raised being used to pay for extras in school.

Last year they made a profit of over £7,500 which has been given to the school to pay for coaches for a cinema trip, a new trim trail and much more.

Right – Enjoying last year’s 40th Wisbech St Mary Firework Spectacular.
