'Why I fell out with William Shakespeare' - play presented by Long Sutton Town Arts
Long Sutton Town Arts is hosting a drama production this Friday, supported by the Art Council of England and Lincolnshire County Council.
The production of 'Shakespeare's Fool', starring Robin Leetham, is being held at the Market House, starting at 7.30pm.
The production was premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe and won rave reviews.
This drama production is a one-man performance, and is about William Kempe, a man who has connections with King's Lynn.
Kempe was best known for performing as one of the original stage actors in early dramas by William Shakespeare.
He played many of the comic creations and starred in the comic John Falstaff roles.
He also was the initial shareholder in the Globe Theatre in London until he had a big fall out with Shakespeare, jigging off from London to Norwich.
So go along to the Market House and join Will 'Cavaliero' Kempe' on the streets of London as he tells the tale of his rise to stardom and what really happened between him and Shakespeare.
Tickets are £12 on the night and £10 in advance.
Bring your own interval refreshments.
