Youngsters from four to 14 can enjoy free fun parkrun in Wisbech

Did you know Wisbech park holds a 2k parkrun for juniors every weekend?

It is a free, fun and friendly event for girls and boys aged from four to 14-years-old.

The parkrun events are organised by volunteers, and more helpers are always needed, too.

If your child wants to take part in the run you need to register them beforehand online and bring with you the scannable barcode they are issued with.

The junior parkrun takes place every week on a Sunday at 9am with the aim of having fun and keeping fit.

Youngsters of all abilities can run at whatever pace they choose and marshals will be located along the course so the juniors will be in sight at all times.

Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, who must remain in attendance for the duration of the event.

Every week children and their parents/carers grab a post-run coffee in The Wheatsheaf, where everyone is welcome to attend.
