Silver Swans Ambassador, Angela Rippon, joined some of the classes and workshops and was on hand to chat with participants who all share her love of ballet

Barbara Wraith, instructor of the Silver Swans at Parson Drove and in Peterborough, said: “There are now 1,600 groups of Silver Swans around the globe. Many of them contributed videos of their dances or performed in person in a showcase of their dances at the end of the two days.

"We were thrilled that our dance was streamed worldwide and shown in a montage sequence during the show. It was thrilling to be part of such a special occasion held at the prestigious headquarters of the Royal Academy of Dance.

“It's wonderful to see more and more older people are coming back to ballet, and there are so many new learners discovering the joy of dancing together."
