Bill of £2,505 for hare courser after damage to Benwick farm




A hare courser who caused damage to wheat and crops on a farm in Benwick last month is now £2,505 out of pocket.

Craig Rooks, who had a previous conviction for coursing, admitted causing criminal damage when he appeared before Cambridge Magistrates on Thursday.

The 56-year-old from West Yorkshire was fined £2,500 and ordered to pay £500 compensation to the farmer.
