Police seize car in March after man with knife in vehicle caught driving illegally and under influence of cannabis
Another car has been taken off the roads after police caught it being driven illegally by a man who was under the influence of drugs.
On Saturday evening, officers were out on patrol on Dartford Road in March when they spotted a car travelling over the speed limit.
The driver was pulled over on Westry Bank along the A141 after they attempted a “dangerous overtake”.
The car was seized, and the driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested after he was found to be driving on a provisional licence without L-plates or supervision and under the influence of cannabis.
He was also found to be in possession of a kitchen knife, which was located in the passenger footwell.
The man has since been bailed – pending further enquiries – to return to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre on August 28.
