Hickathrift House Care Home in Marshland St James celebrated Easter in style
Staff and residents at a care home got in the Easter mood with a day of fun.
The Hickathrift House care home in Marshland St James celebrated Easter with a whole host of different activities - including simnel cake-making, an Easter egg colouring competition, Easter bonnet celebration, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Residents enjoyed an eggs-tensive range of Easter activities, including wreath making and a themed sensory reminiscing trolley.
They also celebrated with a themed dining experience and tucked into a delicious Easter meal prepared by the home’s hospitality team.
General manager Paula Colman said: “As always, we’ve all been looking forward to Easter.
“It’s such a lovely time of year – the residents love all the colourful Easter eggs and a special visit from the Easter Bunny who delivers the chocolate treats for them all. It’s really been an eggs-cellent few days.”
Margaret, a resident at Hickathrift House, said: “It has been so lovely to spend time with our families this Easter, though, like every Easter, I think I’ve eaten too much chocolate.
“It was so wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort. I enjoyed making the Easter bonnets and showing my son the following day.”
