Circus comes to Wimblington for its fifth annual fun day
All the fun of the big top came to Wimblington at the weekend for the fifth annual village fun day.
Clowns, stilt walkers and magic were all part of the day’s attractions drawing in crowds of well-over 1,000.
Sunday’s sunshine ensured a good turn-out with Joanne Rose, chairman of the fun day committee, confirming over 1,300 people had gone through the gate for Sunday’s event.
Among other entertainment was the Wimblington Village Choir, who opened the day with a performance of songs, before Jezo gave a magic show and then followed the clown show.
Charities took advantage of the day with around 15 local groups and organisations holding stalls.
Youngsters could also enjoy fair rides, water zorbing and giant inflatables. There was also a display of classic and American vehicles for visitors to admire.
All money raised will go towards next year’s event.
