Coronavirus: Six new deaths recorded at King's Lynn hospital

Six more patients have died at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.

The cases were revealed in the daily figures issued by NHS England and take the total number of fatalities related to Covid-19 at the hospital to 141.

The data shows that the most recent death recorded to date was on Saturday.

Yesterday, the hospital confirmed that a man in his 80s had died after testing positive for the virus. His case, which was recorded last Thursday, was included in the NHS England data published on Monday.

Chief executive Caroline Shaw said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with his family at this difficult time.”
