Coronavirus: Two new deaths recorded at King's Lynn hospital




Two more patients have died at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.

The latest cases were revealed in the daily figures issued by NHS England and take the total number of deaths related to Covid-19 at the QEH to 143.

The data shows that the most recent death recorded to date was on Saturday.

In a statement a short time ago, the hospital's chief executive Caroline Shaw said: “The deaths of two of our patients, who had tested positive for Covid-19, have been confirmed today – a man in his 80s and a man in his 50s.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with their families at this difficult time.”

Prior to this, the previous update was on Wednesday when six new deaths had been recorded at the QEH, which took the total to 141.
