The A141 Isle of Ely Way between Old Station Way and Eastwood End will be closed overnight for the next six nights.

The work will involve completing the installation of new traffic lights on the Manea Road/A141 junction and resurfacing north of Manea Road up to Eastwood End.

The new traffic lights will be in operation when the road re-opens on next Wednesday (27).

To minimise disruption to the public, work will be carried out overnight between 8pm and 6am and a temporary 40mph speed limit will be in place during the day for safety reasons.

Drivers are urged to follow the signed diversion route and access to properties will be maintained as much as possible.

The junction has a history of collisions and is categorised as an injury collision cluster site, one of 88 across the county.

The safety improvement scheme is expected to significantly reduce risk for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists using the junction.
