Wisbech-based eye service gets a ‘good’ from watchdog Care Quality Commission
An independent healthcare provider located in Wisbech has been rated as ‘good’ by a government watchdog.
Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission carried out a planned, but unannounced on-site assessment, at ACES (Anglia Community Eye Service LTD) on Cromwell Road on September 11.
ACES provides independent ophthalmic services including surgery, outpatients, and diagnostic imaging for adults. It treats both private and NHS patients.
The inspectors followed the CQC’s single assessment framework looking at nine quality statements against the safe, effective, responsive, and well-led key questions.
They then combined the scores with those from the previous inspection in 2017 and the overall rating remained the same – ‘good’ across all areas.
The inspectors said: “ At this assessment, we found staff provided good care and treatment to patients with a strong focus on good outcomes.”
