Farm fire sees five crews called to tackle it with firefighters on site for over 10 hours

Arsonists have been blamed for a farm blaze which saw five fire crews called to tackle it.
The incident happened at around 9.50pm last night (Tuesday) in a farm building on Stocking Drove, Chatteris.
One crew from Chatteris, one crew from Manea, one crew from March, one crew from Ramsey and one crew from Huntingdon attended.
Crews arrived to find a large farm building containing machinery and approximately 100 tonnes of straw fully involved in fire. Using two hose reels and two jets, they extinguished the fire before returning to their stations by 7.30am on Wednesday (22).
The cause was deliberate, anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
